If you’re looking for something a little bit more exclusive than an M5 but just as fast, the all-new Alpina B5 Bi-Turbo certainly fits the bill.

The B5 has 608 PS (600 HP) and, at 590 lb-ft (800 Nm), slightly more torque than the M5’s 553 lb-ft (750 Nm). It hits 100 km/h (62 mph) from a standstill in 3.5 seconds, just 0.1 seconds slower than an M5, and gets to 200 km/h (124 mph) in 11.4 seconds, or 0.3 seconds behind the M5.

While that’s the sort of difference one would call negligible, the B5 is actually faster than the M5 when maxed out. You can unlock the latter’s top speed to 305 km/h (189 mph) with the optional M Driver’s Package, sure, but the B5 will do 330 km/h (205 mph) flat out.

This blue Alpina B5 Bi-Turbo that’s on display at BMW Abu Dhabi has the tuner’s decals running along its belt line, while the interior is decked out in brown leather with white contrast stitching, plus loads of wood on the door panels and across the dashboard. Meanwhile, the black leather used on the upper dash has brown contrast stitching, which makes for a nice touch.
