In 2007, Volkswagen presented the craziest Golf ever, the Golf GTI W12 Concept equipped with a mid-mounted, twin-turbocharged version of the Phaeton’s 6.0-liter W12 engine producing a punchy 650-horspower. Understandably, this one-off study was never intended to enter production. However, if you fancy the Golf GTI W12’s uber-crazy looks, then you may want to check out “Exclusive Tuning Worldwide’s” new tuning proposal.

The Dutch tuner has created a new bodykit that replicates the looks of the Golf GTI W12 Concept and it’s available for all 3-door hatchback variants of the previous-generation Golf V. The kit consists of new front and rear bumpers, side skirts with faux air vents, 60mm wider fenders that house 18-inch or optionally, 19-inch GTI alloy wheels, new front grille, four tailpipes and a supposedly redesigned trunk lid

Excluding tax, the transformation (including labor) will set you back €13,025 or with the current exchange rates, approximately US$17,000.

And what about mechanical upgrades, we hear you ask? Well, simply put, there aren’t any, which means that you could end up being the laughing stock of the neighborhood if for example you choose to perform the transformation on a Golf V with a 102HP 1.6-liter engine. Don’t say we didn’t warn you…
