During the weekend, GM’s GMC unit threw off the covers its all-new 2010 Terrain compact SUV that will be making its first public debut at this week’s New York Show. Though decisively different in terms of styling, the Terrain is in essence the rugged alter ego of the also new 2010 Chevrolet Equinox. Set to go on sale this summer, the Terrain will offer buyers the choice of two petrol engines, a 30mpg (highway) and 182HP 2.4-liter four-pot and a rang-topping 264HP 3.0-liter V6 that delivers an estimated 25mpg on the highway.
