Volkswagen’s UK dealers are now accepting orders for the redesigned 2011 Touran minivan with first deliveries set to take place on 22 September. Prices for the seven-seater MPV range from £17,585 on the road for the Touran with the 1.2-liter TSI petrol, to £25,535 for the range-topping Sport model with a 2.0-liter TDI diesel and DSG transmission.

Unveiled to the public for the first time at the Leipzig Motor Show in April, the revised Touran brings a Golf/Polo/Touareg-aping styling and a refreshed engine lineup that includes the new 1.2-liter TSI petrol with 105HP and 129 lbs ft of torque that returns 44.1 mpg UK on the combined cycle.

In BlueMotion Technology form, complete with Stop/Start and battery regeneration, the 1.2-litre TSI engine is capable of returning 47.9 mpg while emitting an estimated 139 g/km of CO2
