A pair of lightly camouflaged Camaros believed to be prototype versions of the much-delayed super-duper Z28 model were spied among a convoy of pony cars on the streets of Coronado in California by a forum member. Albeit most of the front end of the test cars was covered to keep prying eyes from seeing the details, it’s easy to make out the large hood bulge, under which, you should find GM’s 6.2-liter supercharged V8 that produces 556HP in the Cadillac CTS-V.
We’re not sure though what to make of the decals seen on the doors of the two test cars. At first we though they may be from the limited edition Camaro Indy 500 Pace Car Replica, but upon closer inspection, we found they are different.
The Camaro Z28 is rumored to debut sometime next year as a 2012 model.
