The painstakingly slow drumbeat continues in advance of the official world premiere of the all-new 2013 Chevrolet Malibu at both the Shanghai Auto Show in China and the New York International Auto Show in the USA later this month, with the second teaser photo providing our first look at the mid-size sedan’s interior.

What we get here is a clear view of the prominent center console with the large LCD screen in the middle and a fuzzy look of the instrument cluster that appears to be heavily inspired by the one found in the Camaro with separate tach and speedometer gauges.

From what we understand, Chevrolet will release at least one more teaser photo of the 2013 Chevrolet Malibu saloon before the full reveal on April 18th. We’ll remind you that the new Malibu will be Chevrolet’s first truly global mid-size model as it will be offered in some 100 countries around the globe with a variety of powertrains suited to the needs of each region. According to General Motors, it will be built in multiple locations, including China and two facilities in the United States.

Sales of the new 2013 Chevrolet Malibu are expected to begin early next year.
