If you watched the “Motorcycle vs. Car Drift Battle 2” video that we showed you a couple of weeks ago, you will probably remember the scene with Officer Dan, played by Dan Brockett, crashing his 1989 Nissan 240SX coupe in the closing credits.
The makers of the driftaluscious short film have released a behind the scenes video that walks us through the accident, which luckily, didn’t leave anyone hurt.
Here’s how the protagonists describe the incident:
“We had just wrapped up the last shot of the video and were packing our gear after a long day of filming. Dan and Ernie wanted to take “one last ride” (The second most infamous last words beside “Hey, Y’all Watch This”.)
Although the outcome of this video was indeed scary, nobody was seriously injured and luck was on our side this day. Dan lost control in literally the only runoff area of the entire road that isn’t a cliff.
We show this as a reminder of how quickly things can go wrong, and the importance of proper safety equipment. Dan will be installing window netting on his next drift car, and Ernie will never ask Dan for a ride again.”
