We were expecting to see the final production version of the Aston Martin V12 Zagato at last year’s Frankfurt Motor Show but instead the British company turned one of the racing concepts into a road-spec show car to give an indication of what it would look like.

Now the time has come for Aston Martin to put the concepts aside and show the first finished customer car that will make its world premiere at the Kuwait Concours d’ Elegance from February 15 to 18.

“We are excited to show the new V12 Zagato for the first time in production form at the Kuwait Concours d’Elegance,” said Aston Martin CEO Ulrich Bez. “Over 50 years since the introduction of the iconic DB4GT Zagato, Aston Martin and Zagato have collaborated to create this modern interpretation which remains true to the original focus of craftsmanship, performance and exclusivity.”

The Zagato-penned model is based on the running gear of Aston Martin’s V12 Vantage Coupe featuring a 6.0-litre V12 engine with 510 bhp (380 kW / 517 PS), and 570Nm (420 lb ft) of torque.

Only 150 cars will be built, each priced at £330,000 GBP (excluding local taxes), which at today’s exchange rates comes to about US$513,300 or €396,600.

Aston Martin is already accepting orders with the first cars to be delivered later this year.
