Starting from tomorrow, Thursday, March 1, the Leaf will become the first pure-electric car available for order in all U.S. markets as Nissan commences the final launch phase with the addition of the remaining 21 states.

The Japanese automaker said that those that had reserved a car in these states would receive an invite from Nissan to begin the ordering process on March 1, while other consumers from these new markets will be able to place a reservation starting from next week.

The first cars in these 21 states will begin arriving by summer.

“Nationwide availability of the Nissan LEAF means that now, anyone in the country can opt for a transportation solution that does not harm the environment, provides a pathway to energy independence, and doesn’t use a single drop of gas,” commented Brian Carolin, senior vice president of Nissan North America.
