It’s only been ten days since the world premiere of the third-generation Audi A3 at the Geneva Motor Show, yet amazingly, we already have an announcement on the first tuning project, courtesy of ABT.

The German tuning brand said it is preparing a comprehensive package for the new Audi hatchback marketed under the name AS3 and which will be available for order later this year.

The proposed AS3 outfit includes two power kits, one for the 2.0-liter TDI diesel that will lift output from 170PS (168hp) to about 200PS (197hp), and the other for the 2.0-liter TFSI petrol, increasing its performance from 200PS (197hp) to 250PS (247hp).

A sport suspension, a four-tailpipe exhaust system and a beefier brake system with 345mm discs will round out the performance mods.

No ABT package is complete without styling upgrades and as previewed in these computer generated images, the German tuner’s menu will include a front spoiler, new grille, side skirts, roof spoiler, a rear apron and a choice of alloy wheel designs in sizes 18- or 19-inches.
