Another day, another set of photos of Citroën’s new DS concept model. Only this time, French car magazine Automobile managed to snag the DS study without a hint of camouflage, not that it was difficult as Citroën was photographing the new car at the Place de la Concorde, which is one of the best-known public squares in Paris, France.

The French magazine tells us that the concept will most likely carry the DS9 moniker and that it will be revealed in a few days ahead of its world premiere at next month’s 2012 Beijing Motor Show.

While its overall design does resemble the Metropolis Concept that was shown at the 2012 Shanghai Auto Show, instead of a the new DS study proposes a less swoopier fastback body style in the tradition of large Citroëns such as the original DS as well as the more modern CX, XM and C6.

We still don’t know what Citroën’s plans are for the concept, but the company has said that it wants to expand the current DS lineup with a larger and more premium model.
