The G37x S is the latest addition to Infiniti’s European lineup. This is the first time that the Japanese automaker’s sportiest S grade has been available with all-wheel drive in the G range, as up until now, only the GT models were offered with AWD.

And from now on, the G37x will be the sole AWD model in the G range as the GT variants will be offered exclusively with RWD.

Like the rest of the G range, the G37x S is powered by a 316bhp (320PS) 3.7-litre V6 linked to a 7-speed automatic transmission with paddle shifts and an AWD system allowing for a 0-100km/h (62mph) sprint time of 6.0 seconds and a top speed of 240km/h (149mph). It returns a combined fuel consumption of 11.0lt/100km (25.7mpg UK).

Standard features include red S badges, 18-inch alloy wheels, smoked headlamps, sports seats with 14-way electric adjustment for the driver, aluminium pedals and the Multimedia pack of hard disk drive (HDD) navigation and music systems, 10-speaker Bose Premium Sound System, reversing camera and high resolution touch screen.

In the UK, the new G37x is priced at £38,979.
