Typically, the footage we get to see from dashboard cameras show accidents involving the car in which the device is mounted on or other, unrelated vehicles.

This time, however, we get the opportunity to witness the temporary theft of the digital camera itself. But if it was stolen, then how did we get the footage, you may ask?

For starters, let us explain that the owner of the car had left the autonomous-powered camera rolling even though the vehicle was parked. The clip begins by showing a man standing on the road and looking to see if anyone was around in the area.

After about a minute and a half, he first approaches a grey hatchback and swiftly breaks the window to steal something from inside.

His voracious appetite for theft leads him a second car in which said camera was fitted. He quickly breaks the window, steals the dashboard-mounted device, and makes a run for it.

We cannot see exactly what went on in the next few seconds but it seems that someone caught up with him and started chasing the thief at which point he dropped the digital camera that was still filming!
