Here is a new set of photos of the third installment of Kia’s second-generation Cee’d family, the new Pro_cee’d three-door hatchback, which will be one of the Korean brand’s highlights at this week’s Paris Motor Show.

The new car will go on sale in Europe in early 2013 offered with the same 1.4-liter and 1.6-liter petrol and diesel units that are available in the Cee’d five-door hatchback and Sportswagon (Estate), though there has been talk about a performance version wearing the Hyundai Veloster’s 1.6-liter turbocharged engine with up to 200-horsepower.

Kia’s designers gave the Pro_Cee’d a more dynamic look than its five-door sibling by lowering the car’s height and styling a rakish roofline along with more heavily pronounced rear fenders, and even a slimmer grille opening up front.

“This car embodies emotion and energy through and through,” explains Peter Schreyer, Kia’s Chief Design Officer. “You know from a single glance that this is a car you want to drive, not just own. Kia is on a distinctive design adventure and the all new pro-cee’d spearheads this forward looking journey.”
