A little over a year after Kia expanded the range of its Picanto city car with a three door model, the Korean carmaker has launched a new special edition named ‘City’ as part of the ‘Originals’ collection.

On sale now at a starting price of £10,245 OTR, including metallic paint, the City comes equipped with additional standard features.

Available in Blaze Red or Bright Silver, the City features a signature red grille, 14-inch alloy wheels, chrome door handles, heated door mirrors and front fog lights.

Inside, you will find reversing parking sensors, upgraded cloth upholstery, a leather trimmed steering wheel with audio controls, ambient LED lighting and what the Korean carmaker describes as a “Hollywood” style vanity mirror with three-stage illumination sequence. Bluetooth connectivity also comes as standard.

Safety features include Electronic Stability Control, Vehicle Stability Management, Hill Assist Control, Cornering Brake Control and six airbags.

The Picanto City is powered by a 1.0-liter petrol engine connected to a five-speed manual gearbox. It produces 99g/km of CO2 and delivers 67.3 mpg UK on the combined cycle, which make it exempt from road tax and the London congestion charge.
