As if the Dodge Viper and the Lamborghini Gallardo supercars aren’t powerful and fast enough in completely stock form, some owners opt to tune them to the extreme, sometimes going as far as even doubling their outputs.

During the Texas Invitational Fall 2012 Roll Race Event this past Sunday, October 14, there was a race held between two heavily modified versions of the previously mentioned sports cars, both of which featured twin-turbocharged engines.

The V10-powered Viper was said to put down 1,150 wheel horsepower, while its Italian adversary, an even wilder 1,300 wheel horsepower.

The match was very close; in fact, it was a photo finish as you can see for yourself in the video that follows past the jump.
