U Spy: New Rolls Royce Ghost Coupe Filmed Lapping the Nürburgring

Thanks to CarScoop reader and Nürburgring dweller Timo S., we now have the first ever action footage of Rolls Royce’s upcoming Ghost-based coupe, the production name of which, remains a tightly guarded secret for now. The spy video affords us a look at how Goodwood’s new Flying Lady tackles the corners and straights of the Nürburgring Nordschleife track at speeds and angles you don’t normally see a Rolls Royce model. The luxurious GT will ride on a shortened and sported up version of the Ghost saloon’s platform with power being provided by a tuned 6.6-liter V12 from the same model, possibly gaining more than 40hp over the stock unit and thus reaching or even surpassing the 600-horsepower mark. The as of yet unnamed Rolls Royce Coupe (we’ve heard the Corniche moniker may be under consideration) will likely make its world premiere at a major international motor show sometime in 2013. Thanks to Timo S. for the Scoop Video!
