We still have a few years ahead of us until General Motors pulls the wraps off its next generation Chevrolet Camaro that will go head-to-head with the new Mustang currently being prepared by Ford for launch in 2014, something that gives design students the opportunity to dream up their own vision of the car.

Arkadiy Okhman, a software engineer who decided to go back to school to become an automobile designer, and who is currently a student at the College for Creative Studies in Detroit, Michigan, came up with this, rather overly futuristic, proposal for a next generation Camaro.

While not many details have been provided about the project by Okhman, it looks like he went for a more compact size coupe, but with a more muscular appearance that doesn’t borrow a lot of (if any) styling cues from the previous Camaro models.

We will assume these renderings were created as a first stage of the project, with the artist introducing more production elements to the car, as the design would progress.
