If you answered ‘Dart’ to the question we posed in regards to a teaser picture of a new Mopar 13′ model released by Chrysler earlier this week, then you may look at the mirror and give yourself a big thumbs-up.

The limited edition Mopar ’13 Dart is the fourth model in the Mopar special series since the company partnered with Fiat in 2009 and follows the Mopar ’10 Challenger, Mopar ’11 Charger and Mopar ’12 Chrysler 300. It will make its first public appearance at next week’s Chicago Auto Show and go on sale this spring in a limited run of 500 units.

“Our new Mopar ’13 Dart will turn heads and stand out from the crowd,” said Pietro Gorlier, President and CEO of Mopar. “For this special, limited- edition vehicle, we specifically kept the driver in mind as we added select Mopar parts and accessories.”

Power for the special edition Dart comes from Fiat’s 1.4-liter MultiAir turbocharged engine that’s shared with the Abarth 500 and connected to a six-speed manual gearbox driving the front wheels.

To enhance its handling characteristics, it comes with a performance steering-gear calibration, a 7 millimeter lowered suspension and low-profile performance tires size 225/40R18, plus an upgraded brake kit with slotted rotors. Mopar also added a performance-tuned exhaust and improved its aerodynamics with a ground-effects kit comprising a front-chin spoiler, one-piece deck-lid spoiler and rear diffuser.

The car is murdered out in a gloss black finish that is also applied on the 18-inch rims contrasted by a pair of car-length Mopar Blue stripes.

You’ll find the same colors inside, as the driver’s seat is trimmed in Mopar Blue leather with black accent stitching, while the rest of the seats are black with blue accent stitching. Other special touches include a blue-stitched leather-wrapped steering wheel with an identically trimmed shifter knob, a bright sport-pedal kit, Mopar mats, door-sill guards, an 8.4-inch navigation screen and wireless charging mat for smartphones.

The Detroit carmaker said each customer will receive a personalized owner kit in a custom-made black case that includes a personalized plate with vehicle specifications, a brochure and other memorabilia like a sketch of the car signed by Chrysler Group Chief Designer for Mopar, Mark Trostle.
