New Kia Cross GT Concpet Hints at a Premium CUV Larger than the Sorento, Debuts in Chicago

Someone put a leash on Kia… Only weeks after the presentation of the new North American market Cadenza mid-size sedan at the Detroit auto show, and days after it announced the new Cee’d and Pro_Cee’d GT sport hatchbacks, and the Urban Concept for the upcoming Geneva Salon in March, the South Korean automaker revealed plans for the world premiere of yet another study. Teased in this single rendering, is Kia’s new Cross GT, a conceptual proposal for a mid-size, premium crossover that will be formally introduced at the 2013 Chicago Auto Show, which will be open to the press February 7-8, and to the public February 9-18. In a very short statement released today, Kia said: “Inspired by nature, driven by technology, the Cross GT hints at the future of Kia’s design language in the form of a premium Crossover Utility Vehicle (CUV) that is larger than the new 2014 Sorento.” We’ll update this post as soon as Kia releases more information and/or pictures of the study.
