The next generation of Sony’s best-selling gaming and media console series, the new PlayStation 4 (PS4), was formally announced and detailed, but not shown, during a special event in New York on Wednesday.

Set to go on sale during this year’s holiday season, the PS4 console itself sports some impressive specs such as the eight-core X86 AMD “Jaguar” CPU, a PC-style 1.84 Teraflop AMD Radeon graphics processor and no less than 8GB of RAM, but it’s another announcement made during Sony’s NY presentation that caught our attention.

The Japanese company showed several new games for the PS4 among which was Driveclub, a brand new racing franchise developed exclusively for the fourth-generation console Evolution Studios.

Two of the cars announced for the game, which offers team driving with asynchronous and real-time social gaming are the new A45 AMG that we’ve already seen and the CLA 45 AMG, pictured here in digital form from Driveclub. This is the first time we see what the CLA 45 AMG looks like without camouflage.

As part of the same announcement, Mercedes also confirmed that the CLA 45 AMG will celebrate its world premiere at next month’s New York International Auto Show, and that it will share its 355hp (360PS) 2.0-liter turbo engine linked to a dual clutch transmission and all-wheel drive, with the A45 AMG.
