Here’s our first look at the new Subaru Viziv Concept that will be fully revealed at the 83rd Geneva International Auto Show in early March.

Subaru tells us that the Viziv is “a future-generation crossover concept” that embodies the brand value of “Enjoyment and Peace of Mind” – if that makes any sense to you…

The automaker added the name is coined from the phrase “Vision for Innovation” and that the study provides an insight into the brand’s direction, but gives no information about its size, what’s hiding under the hood or any other details for that matter.

In the single image released by Subaru, we did notice some similarities to the 2009 Hybrid Tourer Concept 2.0 Turbo displayed at the Tokyo motor show. Whether the Viziv is a further development of that prototype remains to be seen.

Joining the Viziv at Subaru’s Geneva Motor Show stand will be the European market version of the 2014 Forester and a new edition of the Outback pairing for the first time the Japanese brand’s 2.0-liter boxer diesel to the Lineartronic (CVT).
