After winning Super Bowl XLVII and scooping the MVP trophy for leading the Baltimore Ravens’ to a 34-31 win over the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday night, quarterback Joe Flacco was also awarded the keys to a 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray, worth somewhere between $50,000 and $60,000 (GM has not announced pricing yet).

If you didn’t see Flacco jumping into the Stingray on Sunday night during the televised match, it’s because the ceremony took place on Monday.

Rick Flick of the New Orleans’ Banner Chevrolet dealership handed over the keys of the 450-horsepower sports car to Flacco.

In a statement, General Motors noted that Banner Chevrolet was “wiped out” by Hurricane Katrina, but it managed to get back on its feet, despite recording the largest losses ever for a dealership in the United States.

“We lost our entire inventory of 650 new Chevrolets and 120 pre-owned vehicles during Katrina,” Flick said. “I’m happy we are still a vital part of this community today and I can be here to represent the people of Chevrolet and its dealerships as we celebrate the Super Bowl MVP.”
