This tasty looking Toyota GT86 (Scion FR-S in N.A.) is the first GT4 racing version of the Japanese brand’s sports coupe and it will make its first appearance on the track at the European GT4 championship in May.

The white and blue-liveried  racecar was created by Buckingham-based motorsport outfit GPRM, with Nicholson McLaren developing its 2.0-liter direct injection and turbocharged four-cylinder ‘Boxer’ engine.

GPRM director Gary Blackham commented: “The new engine from Nicholson McLaren will be capable of between 360 and 400 bhp, although, of course, the definitive output figure will be determined by the balance of performance testing.”

Even though the GT86 GT4 is not an official Toyota works effort, it has the blessing of Toyota GB, which is providing technical support.
