Much like almost every other carmaker planning to debut a new or a refreshed model at the rapidly approaching New York Auto Show this year, Dodge too has cropped an image of one of its world premieres, the 2014 Durango, to be precise, and tossed it our way

Said picture shows the facelifted 2014 Durango’s brand new rear light clusters that adopt similar “racetrack” style LED tail lamps to the Dart compact saloon.

Like its 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee sibling that was revealed at the Detroit motor show earlier this year, the updated three-row crossover is expected to feature a restyled front end, a revised and upgraded interior with higher quality materials and trim, plus a new 8-speed automatic transmission used across the range. Whether Dodge will also introduce a V6 diesel options remains to be seen.

Not that you’ll learn anything, but here’s Dodge’s press statement that accompanied the teaser image:

“Dodge Durango, the ultimate ‘no compromise’ three-row SUV, is about to get even better. Built on the Dodge brand’s pillars of style, performance and innovation, the new 2014 Dodge Durango will deliver state-of-the-art technology in both form and function. Building upon its Best-in-Class attributes, Durango adds several new class-exclusive features for 2014 making it the Dodge brand’s most technologically advanced, fuel efficient and stylish Durango ever.”
