A prototype of Hyundai’s second generation of the Genesis sedan took to the road again and this time, the crew from KGP SpyPhotography was on hand to film the Michigan-plated car and was even able to snag a shot of its interior, which it shared in the following video.

The spy photographer noted that the car was likely equipped with Hyundai’s upcoming 10-speed automatic transmission, which we first heard about from Hyundai Motor Group president Park Seong Hyon back in 2010.

“We can almost guarantee that this thing had a 10 speed transmission… it just kept on shifting,” stated the photographer on the video description.

We recently rendered the exterior of the 2014 Genesis sedan, based on intel from the test cars and Hyundai’s the HCD-14 Concept, but in the video we catch a glimpse of the interior as well.

The dashboard design and layout is very similar to that of the facelifted Hyundai Equus sedan, which will make its North American premiere at the end of the month at the New York International Auto Show, featuring a very BMW-esque automatic gearbox lever, a large LCD screen and a wide lower center console.

It’s worth mentioning that for the first time in the model’s history, the new Genesis will be offered with an all-wheel drive option, at least for the base V6 engine.
