The next big thing to come from the BMW automotive studios is the replacement to the 3-Series Coupe that will be known as the new 4-Series and which is the main protagonist of this new spy video, courtesy France’s Automobile magazine.

Spied here in Northern Sweden, this latest 4-Series Coupe prototype has dropped a few more yards of camouflage, as is customary to cars approaching their release date.

Now, if you want to see how it will look like, all you have to do is check the pre-production 4-Series Coupe displayed at the Detroit Auto Show and imagine it with regular bumpers and wheels.

Since it’s based on the F30 3-Series sedan, the F32 codenamed coupe will use the same set of four-cylinder and six-cylinder turbocharged petrol engines, along with a selection of diesels, a choice of six-speed manual and 8-speed automatic transmissions, and optional all-wheel drive.

The new 4-Series Coupe is pegged to enter production this summer with the hardtop convertible version (F33) to follow later in the fall.
