One of the worst things one can do behind the wheel of an automobile is to drive under the influence, and get into an accident and leave an injured person behind. A New Hampshire man reportedly did both at the same time when he crashed his yellow Corvette C6 in Bedford Saturday night.

Local police offers were notified about the accident and rushed to the scene at around 9pm Saturday where they found a heavily damaged Corvette C6 Convertible on the opposite shoulder of the road, facing the other way, and an injured passenger inside, but no sign of the driver.

The Bedford Patch reported that the passenger was quickly transferred to the Elliot Hospital with “non-life threatening injuries”. According to the police report, the driver of the car, who was later identified as William Morel, 47, of Bedford, was found walking on the road about an hour later.

The 47-year old man was arrested and charged with conduct after an accident, reckless conduct, operating a vehicle while intoxicated and driving after suspension of his license.
