New Photo Gallery of BMW's Sporty Looking X4 Crossover Concept

While BMW isn’t willing to divulge anything new in the way of information about its X4 Concept car other than what it has already told us (we’ll give you a summary further down), the Munich brand wants us to get a better view of the study with the release of a fresh gallery comprising more than 30 photos.

These new pictures were published just a few days ahead of the X4 concept study’s world premiere at the Auto China 2013 in Shanghai (April 20 to 29).

The X4 is a production-ready concept of what you could call a “junior” X6 (see our visual comparo here) that evolves the styling language and body style of its bigger brother on the underpinnings of the latest generation X3.

At 4,648mm (183-inches) long, 1,915mm (75.4 inches) wide and 1,622mm (63.9 inches) tall, the X4 Concept has the same length (and wheelbase at 2,810mm or 110.6-inches) as the X3, but it stands 53mm (2.0 inches) lower and 34mm (1.3 inches) wider.

The styling won’t change much when BMW introduces the production car to the market next year –think toned down bumpers, mirrors and less extravagant wheels, while as far as powertrains are concerned, it will borrow the more powerful versions of the X3’s petrol and diesel engines, possibly adding an M Performance (not M4, though) model down the line.
