Automakers love special editions, some, in fact, like them so much that they release special editions of…special editions. The new UK-market Skoda Fabia Monte Carlo Tech, is one such example, as the Czech company added the Tech edition to the Monte Carlo trim with enhanced specification.

This version is limited to 1,000 units in Britain, and it benefits from an Amundsen satellite navigation system and Bluetooth connectivity. The good news is that it comes at no extra cost to the customer over the regular Monte Carlo special.

Available in two colour combinations – red with a black roof or white with a black roof, customers can choose from two engines, a 1.2-litre TSI 104hp (105PS) petrol and a 1.6-litre TDI 104hp (105PS) diesel, with sales of each restricted to 500 units. On-the-road prices are set at £11,990 OTR and £12,960 OTR respectively.

We’ll remind you that all Fabia Monte Carlo editions feature piano-black body trim, black door mirror covers, a black radiator grille top, smoked headlamps and black 17-inch alloy wheels on the outside, and black sports seats and roof lining, a perforated leather steering wheel with red stitching, and a leather handbrake and gearstick gaiter, plus silver kick plates and steel pedals on the inside.
