When Monster Energy drops a new video, usually it’s something spectacular. The Gymkhana series is no exception and for its latest film, the energy drink company has decided to go with an off-road adventure.

Don’t get fooled by the drifting Nissan GT-R at the beginning of the video: it’s all about the Trophy Truck rolling at speeds of up to 150 mph (241 km/h) through the rough terrain of the Mojave desert. Spiced up with two attractive female appearances, the video won’t win any awards for its scenario, but seeing the truck’s 34 inches (860 mm) of rear suspension travel at work makes up for that little inconvenience.

Driven by “Ballistic” BJ Baldwin, the rear-wheel drive truck sits on an NSP-1 chassis and is powered by an 850-hp, 458-inch (7.5-liter) small block Chevrolet V8 engine developing 690 lb-ft (935 Nm) of torque. Fun fact: it averages 3.1 mpg (75.8 liters/100 km).
