All-New Mazda2 / Demio Possibly Revealed in Japanese Magazine

The current Mazda2/Demio, still based on the underpinnings of the Ford Fiesta, has been around for around six years, and after getting restyled and revamped to match the brand’s current heading, they will be able to take it no further, and an in-house design is needed, to incorporate all of the features we now associate with SKYACTIV. Rumors about the Demio have occasionally surfaced, and they ranged from suggestions as to where it could be built (which were then officially confirmed) to moderately-detailed reports on its underpinnings (said to be shared with theCX-5 crossover – we still find that unlikely, though). Now, a Japanese magazine has published a photo of what is believed to be an all-new model, which looks like a shrunken version of the 3, which due to the much shorter overhangs looks a bit bubbly (i.e. like a bubble). Still, as Autoblog’s original piece states, this unpleasant effect may very well be caused by the folded up page, which if you take a closer look, makes the front end seem disproportionately large compared to the rest of the car (also evident in the awkward shape of the roof). We will not make any statements or pass any judgment on what is being presented here, because some recent Mazda-related stories have taken a turn for the bizarreBy Andrei Nedelea Story References: Minkara via Worldcarfans
