With a population of 1.344 billion and a rapidly growing economy, China has and will continue to be the next frontier for automakers from across the spectrum. That said, it’s no wonder that niche companies like Ferrari go out of their way to please local buyers with special versions of their cars.

About a year ago, the Italians presented the Ferrari 458 China Edition made exclusively for the local market in a set production number of 20 units. If you liked what you saw and wouldn’t mind parking one on your desk top or inside a dedicated display, Hot Wheels’ premium line of collectable die-cast models Elite has introduced a 1:18 scale version of the supercar.

The Elite model comes with the same special “Marco Polo Red” paint job and decorative dragon on the hood, gold wheels and pimped interior, all for a price of around $105.
