In recent years, we have seen more actual concepts and projects for Alfa Romeo cars coming out from independent design studios and coachbuilders like Pininfarina and Carrozzeria Touring, than we have from the Italian automaker itself, which says a lot about the financial decline of the once successful Milanese brand, but also its enduring popularity among auto aficionados.

The latter partially explains why so many aspiring design students choose Alfa Romeo as one of their subjects – the company’s illustrious history that is filled with beautiful models that have inspired many designers, also plays a key role.

This unnamed concept study for an impressive Alfa Romeo coupe comes from Saint-Petersburg State Polytechnical University design student Grigory Bars, who melted in modern and classic styling cues from both production and concept cars.
