Consumer Reports Says the 2014 Cadillac CTS is a “Fantastic Car to Drive”

Cadillac’s all-new 2014 CTS sedan is one of the most anticipated cars for GM’s luxury brand, and so far, it seems that Cadillac has a winning card up its sleeve. Consumer Reports tested the mid-size sedan and reached some very encouraging conclusions for Cadillac. First of all, they praised the CTS’ handling, even going as far as saying the Caddy drives better than its German competitors. Much of it is due to the new, lighter platform that the CTS shares with the smaller ATS. However, the fact that the tested car was a pre-production CTS fitted with the V-Sport trim and the 420hp twin-turbocharged 3.6-liter V6 gasoline engine may have had something to do with Consumer Reports’ enthusiasm. The magazine also had good things to say about the quality of the interior, but found things to criticize too, such as the small rear window that hinders visibility and Cadillac’s CUE infotainment system, viewed as too complicated.
