Figuratively speaking, Ferrari 458 Italias are a dime a dozen, but there’s only one SP12 EC, which is an in-house, coachbuilt version of the former made for famous English guitarist, singer and songwriter, Eric Clapton, at a rumored cost of £3 million (or about $4.7 million / €3.6 million at today’s exchange rates).

The SP12 EC, the name of which is derived from ‘SP’ for Special Project, ’12’ for the Ferrari 512BB that inspired its design and ‘EC’ for Eric Clapton, was captured on camera during a supercar meeting on the roads of London.

And no, the man behind the wheel is not Eric Clapton, but we assume he must be very close to the singer to be driving his one-off Ferrari. As for the other red beauty following on from behind, it’s the Alfa Romeo Disco Volante from Carozzeria Touring.

Hat tip to Paul W. for the heads up!
