So, Sebastian Vettel won the Singapore Formula One Grand Prix this past weekend, much to the indignation of spectators present at the racing venue. In fact, the German was reportedly booed by the crowds, kind-of like a rock band that irritates its fans with consistently good performances…

However, there were other notable events taking place during/right after the race… Most notable was Mark Webber’s hitching a ride with Fernando Alonso, sitting on the side pod of his car into the pits, just like Ayrton Senna did with rival Nigel Mansell after the 1991 British GP, when he kicked away a track marshal that tried to pull him off.

The recent event has prompted reactions, naturally, all stemming from the fact that Webber ran across the track during the slowdown lap of the race, when cars were still going fast enough to do damage if contacted with flesh and bones…

Apparently, the FIA may be tightening the rules governing such behavior, and the drivers will be brought up to speed ahead of next week’s Korean Grand Prix.
