Fiat to Unveil Panda 4×4 Antarctica and Freemont Black Code in Frankfurt

When you lack new models, just build a special edition or two. That seems to be the motto for many carmakers and Fiat makes no exception. The Italian company will present two such models at the Frankfurt Motor Show: the Panda 4×4 Antarctica and the 500 GQ Edition, plus the top-of-the-line trim level for the Fiat Freemont dubbed ‘Black Code’. The Fiat Panda 4×4 Antarctica celebrates 30 years since the launch of the original Panda 4×4 in 1983. Since then, more than 400,000 units have been sold across three generations. Based on the 4×4 Rock trim level, the special edition comes with distinguishing features such as the two-tone bodywork, grey diamond finish 15-inch alloy wheels, orange hub and mirror caps, fog lights, privacy windows and a special badge on the central pillar. On the inside the limited edition Panda features grey and orange upholstery. The Panda 4×4 Antarctica will be available with the 85hp 0.9-liter Twin Air turbocharged gasoline engine and the 75hp 1.3-liter MultiJet II diesel unit, both fitted with a Start&Stop system. The Fiat Freemont Black Code is the new top-of-the-range trim level of the Dodge Journey-based crossover that brings both equipment and cosmetic tweaks. Available in FWD and AWD, the Black Code version comes with black gloss detailing on the front grille and mirror caps, darkened headlights and 19-inch alloy wheels. On the inside, the range-topping Freemont offers standard equipment such as automatic three-zone climate control system, cruise control, leather upholstery and heated seats, as well as keyless entry/go system, rear parking sensors and electrically folding rear-view mirrors.
