The star of Kia’s Frankfurt Motor Show stand is without doubt, the Niro Concept for a small SUV, but that’s not a car you can buy, at least not in the foreseeable future and certainly not in this exaggerated form.

For actual buyers, and in particular German customers, Kia presented the special Platinum Edition lineup with four models, including the Picanto supermini, Venga small MPV, the Cee’d hatchback and the Cee’d Sport Wagon.

All four cars share common upgrades highlighted by a choice of two shades for the exterior that match the bespoke partial or full leather interior, which is unique to the Platinum Editions – but not described or shown in the provided press shots.

To make its offerings more special, Kia based the cars on the top-level trims adding a host of standard features (depending on the model) such as LED package, electric glass sunroof, privacy glass and other items.
