Just hours after our ramble on why Edmunds chose the “least likely rivals” to compare against the new 2014 Corvette Stingray, including $101,900 the SRT Viper and the $116,995 Nissan GT-R Track Edition, one of our readers told us that the online news site uploaded a third video, this time placing GM’s halo car across a Porsche.

Now, before you give kudos to Edmunds, learn that this isn’t the base  $63,800 Cayman S or the $84,300 911 Carrera. In fact, it isn’t even the base $98,900 911 Carrera S with 395hp (400PS), but a full-package version of the later with a reported cost of “around $140,000”, or double the $69,675 Corvette C7 with the Z51 package

Nevertheless, we’ll stick to the performance number and fun factor aspect provided by this track test, which you can go ahead and watch for yourself in the video that follows.
