New Photos of the Facelifted Dacia Duster Reveal Updated Interior, May Get 1.2L Turbo

Following last month’s studio pics, new official photos of the restyled Dacia Duster have surfaced on the internet, including the first image of the interior. The photos show two Dusters with French license plates in an off-road environment.

We now have the final piece of the puzzle regarding the facelifted Duster – obviously, we’re talking about the cabin. As expected, the Romanian-made SUV now has an upgraded dashboard that includes a touchscreen for the MediaNav navigation and infotainment system.

There’s also a new instrument panel featuring three intertwined clocks (with the speedometer in the center) and buttons on the steering wheel, among others. Another change that is easy to spot is the displacement of the buttons for the power windows from the center console to the doors – a much more intuitive place if you want our opinion.

As for the exterior, the only thing that is different from the car shown in the studio photos is the paint, a combination of grey and dark blue. One of the two cars also sports new 4WD lettering on the tailgate near the right taillight.

There’s no official information on engines, but according to a Dacia owners’ club from Belgium, the Duster will be available with the new 1.2-liter turbocharged gasoline engine developing 120 hp, also on offer for the Renault Captur. This engine may replace the naturally-aspirated 110hp 1.6-liter gasoline unit.

We’ll receive a confirmation on that (or not) on September 10, when Dacia will premiere the Duster facelift at the Frankfurt Motor Show.
