New Renault Initiale Paris Concept Previews Espace's Crossover Successor [Updated Gallery]

Pictures of Renault’s Frankfurt Motor Show world premiere surfaced on the internet today. While there’s no accompanying information, it has the same headlamps as the model Renault teased just last week that was described as “new concept car which embodies its vision of Premium motoring”. French media revealed that its name is the Renault Initiale Paris Concept. Since the beginning of this year, Renault officials have been talking about reshuffling the marque’s lineup and priorities, with the Group’s former No 2 Carlos Tavares, who was resigned just last week, previously stating that the launch of an Initiale Paris sub-brand was in their to-do-list. Later in the summer, Renault design chief, Laurens van den Acker, told Autonews reporters that the French company wants to replace the ageing Espace minivan with a new luxury model that combines styling and practical elements from SUVs and MPVs (Multi-Purpose Vehicle), hinting at a Frankfurt motor show debut for the study. If you put two and two together, you will see that the Initiale Paris Concept covers all of the above. More to come, so stay tuned. Hat tip to our tipster!
