For sure, it’s a special moment whenever Ferrari launches a new model, but is it even more special if the car is called the 458 Speciale? We will let you decide on that after watching the official launch video of the hardcore 458, but before you do, here’s just a quick reminder of what the car is all about.

The 458 Speciale is powered by a high-performance 4.5-liter V8 engine producing 597hp (605PS) and 540 Nm (398 lb-ft) of torque at 6,000 rpm. That’s 35PS (34.5hp) more than the standard 458 Italia. Add to that the weight loss of 90kg (198lbs) compared to the standard car plus the sophisticated aerodynamic upgrades (although they make the car look brutal) and you’ll understand why Ferrari named this car the 458 Speciale.

Zero to 100 km/h (62 mph) takes a mere 3 seconds, zero to 200 km/h (124 mph) 9.1 seconds, while top speed is 325 km/h (202 mph).

Oh, and as you will soon discover for yourself, the sound of the engine is simply mesmerizing.
