The 2014 model year Nissan Juke and its (still) strange face have just received their official pricing details for the US market, where the model now starts from $18,990.

The range rises in price, all the way up to either a SL trim with the CVT gearbox, all-wheel drive and most of the available comfort options, or the self-explanatory sporty Nismo variant with the optional AWD fitted, costing $25,990 and $25,290 respectively (factoring in an additional $810 destination charge for both).

It wins points, the Juke, as it has always done, with its extensive personalization options, on top of two custom equipment and visual differentiation packages called Midnight Edition and Sport Package, while a Navigation pack is also on the list of options. Nissan is also offering two new paint finish alternatives for the exterior: Red Alert and Bordeaux Black.

Most of the tech features you’d expect are present too. The most important is the optionally-available all-wheel drive system, which can split torque between the axles evenly (and from side to side), though it will always be front-biased and feel it according to the reviews. However, the statement doesn’t fully apply to safety features, and the 2014 model-year Juke comes with six airbags, antilock brakes and an electronic stability program but no crash mitigation or any of the cleverer new gadgets are available.
