First Official Photos of All-New 2014 Nissan Qashqai [Updated]

Official imagery of the second generation Nissan Qasqhai has surfaced online. The new model, which will likely continue to be known as the Dualis in certain markets outside of Europe like Australia and Japan, encompasses familiar design and styling treats from the bigger 2014 Rogue / X-Trail, but it has some sharper details like the beltline and more rakish rear window that grant it a more dynamic appearance.

The same can be said about the interior of the compact crossover, as the dashboard styling is almost identical to the Rogue / X-Trail twins.

Other details we managed to learn is that the Qashqai will launch next year in Europe with manufacturing to take place at Nissan’s Sunderland plant in England. The crossover model will offer European buyers an initial choice of a 1.2-liter turbocharged gasoline unit with 113bhp that replaces the current 1.6-liter engine along with 1.5-liter and 1.6-liter turbo diesels.

More info and pictures are expected later today, so stay tuned.
