Matte paint finishes have become increasingly common in the industry as unique manufacturer-backed options, even if they require the kind of special attention that probably not all owners will be willing and able to give.
However, you’ll forgive them for trying, when the car in question looks as nice as this flat gray SRT Viper GTS Anodized Carbon Special Edition, to give its full name; the paint itself has yet to receive a name, though it could probably borrow this limited edition model’s name with no problem.
Moreover, only 50 people will get a shot at ruining its non-reflective coat, because that’s how many they will be making of it. The production run begins in January of 2014.
However, the special paint is not the only thing it gets extra – there’s more. Other additions include Black Vapor Chrome five-spoke “Rattler” wheels, gloss black GTS badge, satin black exhaust bezel and anodized carbon fuel filler door, on top of sweet orange brake calipers, carbon fiber brake ducts and rear trim.
Pricing has yet to be revealed, but since there are so few of these, most if not all are probably spoken for already, so just scroll down and look at the pretty pictures – it’s really all you can do aside from wrapping a regular one and saving yourself the cash.
