A new ‘baby’ Jaguar sports sedan is on its way and DesignRM has taken the liberty to envision the brand’s Mercedes-Benz C-Class and BMW 3-Series challenger.

While we don’t know what it will be called yet (it currently carries the X760 internal codename), the British carmaker has confirmed that it will use the new aluminum architecture displayed under the body of the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show’s C-X17 SUV Concept with sales in Europe to start in 2015, with North America to follow in 2016.

The XF-bodied test mules we’ve seen don’t provide any clues on the X760’s appearance, but RM Design wisely chose to use styling elements from the C-X17 for the creation of the sports sedan model, which you can see in the picture below.
