Prices for 3D printers have been dropping these past few years – just this week, the Michigan Technological University presented an open-source 3D metal printer for $1,500, and automakers have been taking notice.

If you already own or have access to these machines that can create three-dimensional solid objects using successive layers of materials, Porsche has released 3D printing data for its Cayman S sports coupe, which you can download on the German brand’s official site here.

Speaking of Porsche, while looking at the brand’s YouTube page, we found a new video of the Macan that focuses on the luxury compact crossover’s chassis and suspension components.
