Since we were on the subject of the MG CS and the “leaked” sketches of what we believe to be depicting the…older concept, allow us give you an idea of what the real production version of the small crossover will look like.

These spy shots of a camouflaged MG CS prototype (we don’t know yet whether MG and its Chinese parent company SAIC Motors will retain the name) come to us courtesy of China’s Autohome and Xcar.

From the views we have of the prototype, we see that, while changes have been made to bring the car to production standards, such as its proportions (the taller and more practical for regular use glass house), framed doors, mirrors and new door handles, the CS’s styling and stance is clearly derived from the study.

If done right, not only in terms of design, but also mechanically and quality-wise, the CS could offer MG the opportunity to reach a broader, and perhaps even a global audience. At this point, though, MG and SAIC Motors are keeping their cards closed on when and if the CS will be marketed outside of China.
