Continuing the old Italian art of coach-building, Carrozzeria Castagna has presented its latest one-off creation based on the Peugeot 508 RXH hybrid crossover.

The colors of choice for the exterior are a satin olive green and matte burgundy separated by a slim piece of wood running from the corner of the headlamps to the tail lights, with Castagna’s designers also adding beefier wheel arch moldings and side rocker panels.

More work went into the interior that was dressed from top to bottom in new colors and materials combining chestnut leather with Alcantara and tweed-like textured upholsteries, and titanium trim accents.

The Italians left the mechanicals untouched, with the 508 RXH employing the use of a 200-horsepower hybrid system with a 2.0-liter HDi turbo diesel driving the front wheels and an electric motor located at the back turning the rear axle.
